Fourth-grade Idea Lab students will be studying architecture this first semester. What an exciting unit! The students will investigate architectural systems and their impact on society. The students will look at structures of the past and present, and the study of architecture will give students the opportunity to increase their awareness of building and design. This unit focuses on visual/spatial thinking, creativity, problem-solving, collaboration, math, technology, and communication.
