Newly-Created Rainforest Animals

Students did a wonderful job creating and presenting their newly-created rainforest animals. The goal was to create an animal that would have adaptations that will allow them to live in the rainforest environment and be able to meet its survival needs by moving around, getting food, and protecting itself from predators.  Students brainstormed, sketched, designed their animal, and presented their ideas.

In picture order, the students created:  The Jish, Yelling Bird, Le Bird, Uniwhalean, Giant Vampire Spider, Foco, Cotton Candy Frog, Grip Leg Bird, Dingelhopper, Winged Dog, Lavener, Fini, Smoke Bird, Olane, and the Flychicker! A great deal of divergent thinking occured during this project.

Ancient Architecture Presentations

I would like to commend our 4th Graders for doing a great job presenting and teaching us about the ancient architectural style of their choice.   I would like to share pictures of students with their presentations. (Student names have been removed.)  They did a marvelous job presenting!   If you haven't seen your child's presentation yet, be sure to ask them about it.

I look forward to sharing the students' final projects with you.
They will work on the projects this week and next week!
Students will be designing for a client's needs and presenting their designs.
